Career Objective

To exercise my current knowledge in technology, business and the law through individuals, firms and corporations that are looking for a diligent and competent professional who is self-reliable, hungry for knowledge, non-confrontational, yet positively aggressive, driven to make things happen both on a day-to-day level and a corporate or systemic level.

 

Short Bio

Mr. Lorins has dedicated his life to the pursuit and management of knowledge. He boasts solid customer service and retention skills from his years of experience as a support engineer.  He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the City College of NY, and a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering (with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Central Florida (UCF). As a lifelong learner, he has also received a JD (Juris Doctor) degree with interests in business/technology/IP Law, Family Law and criminal law and he is also a PhD Candidate for a PhD degree in the eclectic field of Instructional Technology.

 

     Mr. Lorins' work experience includes employment at many major Fortune 500 companies, the government, and several executive positions. He is very interested in making learning more fun for both today's and tomorrow's learners by helping them learn the way they learn best. Thus, naturally he is very interested in the delivery of lectures that are centered around his "Accelerated Instructor Lessons Series" Model. Moreover, he is very interested in the Law as a means of giving back to the community by being a highly dedicated public servant. His current research interest ranges from the Law, an analysis of games engines for "serious" game development, where serious games are video games used for training and educational purposes, to Multi-User Virtual Environments (A/K/A MUVEs or MOOs). He is an avid entrepreneur and inventor who believes that strategic business development is the only way to the economic future of all developed and/or developing countries around the world.

Unseeded and lacking match practice before the tournament, Serena Williams signaled her return to the top echelons of women's tennis with a stunning 6-1 6-2 victory over world No.1 Maria Sharapova to claim her third Australian Open crown on Day 13. Williams hadn't claimed a WTA Tour title since winning her second Australian Open title in three years at the 2005 tournament, with a lack of fitness brought about by injury woes then compounded by knee problems that restricted her to only four tournaments in 2006.Serena Williams has become the first unseeded player in 29 years to capture the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup, the American claiming the trophy for a third time by dismantling Russian No.1 seed Maria Sharapova in the Australian Open 2007 women's final.
